That socks...

It occurred to me yesterday how important it is to find a good pair of socks. I wear three types of socks which I will categorize for you now: black socks, athletic socks, and miscellaneous gift socks. I'm sure you have a pair of each.

Since it is the winter season, and I must dress nice for work, my black socks have been in active use. I was starting to run low on my usual socks, so I picked out a pair that was at the bottom of my drawer. I left my apt in the wee hours and headed for my vehicle. Dear me, i thought to myself as I was trekking across the parking garage, something is wrong with my sock. I realized what had happened--SOCK SLIPPAGE. With a gasp I begin concentrating harder on my right foot (for my left sock was gripping onto my defined calf just fine) making sure I was taking careful, calculated steps. By the time I got to my car, the damage was done:

My sock had slipped so far down into my shoe that my ankles were completely bare. Oh the horror!

The mistfortunes did not end there. I went to my favorite place during lunch time (costco)--just to take a stroll and take in that fresh costco air. On the way out I felt my thin, useless sock bunch up at the front of my shoe. Shoot, i thought, i need to pull up my sock. There's always a traffic jam at the exit b/c of the pointless checking-of-the-receipt process on the way out. This was my chance. I stopped, bent down and lifted my right sock with one swift yank--SATISFACTION! I stood up quickly only to run into a man coming from my right side. "Excuse me!" I said to the man. He chuckled said, "yeah...", cut in front of me, and left. The nerve! He was in my BLIND SPOT! Further, had he never experience sock slippage?! It's serious matter and the least he could do was show a little sympathy.

Enough. I can't believe I just wrote 2 paragraphs-worth of blog material on sock slippage. Consider it a glimpse into my sad, uneventful life............minus the 183 i bowled last weekend!!!! Check out the pic below. I'm "CB"--stands for "Cheeze Balls" my self-proclaimed name for small group.

Lastly, i am going to DALLAS for Christmas!!! I'll be getting in tomorrow evening and staying until the following wed morning (29th). Joy, joy! Come, let us frolick in the imaginary texas snow!
