The Huangs Attack the East Coast

Part I: Arrival

Around 5:30pm ET on Saturday, May 21st, Mama, Papa, and Kimmy Huang arrived at the Dulles International Airport (IAD). It was a warm evening and Mama Huang, constantly fearing DC will be hit by a winter storm, exited the airport wearing her heavy black coat. "Hmm," she said. "I thought it would be colder." As soon as she spotted a glimpse of sunshine, she whipped out her extremely unfashionable visor and called for Kimmy to get her trusty umbrella. And this was no ordinary umbrella--because the only thing this umbrella had not experienced was a rain shower. Used to shield any and all skin-damaging rays, it became a...SUNbrella (*snicker*).

They Huangs grabbed their rental car and took off for their intended destination: Fairfax. Still shielding the sun in the car, Mama Huang told Kimmy to give her sister a call. "Dinner is ready to be eaten. I'm waiting for y'all," Jennifer responded. Dinner was indeed ready...b/c upon tasting her "Bak Choy Delight" Papa Huang exclaimed, "I can still taste the sand in this." And Mama and Papa Huang had a good hearty laugh at their daughter's expense. Fortunately, Jennifer's "Green Beans and 'Rooms Special" was excellently prepared and devoured in an instant. Not really, but let's pretend (The next day, Papa Huang was reported proudly saying, "See! I ate your leftover green beans and mushrooms!").

Then the Huangs did what any normal family would do if they were on vacation--they went to Walmart and visited an Asian grocery store. Though the Walmart visit did not warrant any photographs, the Asian supermarket was equivalent to an edible Disney World. "I think I see Donald Duck!" Mama Huang exclaimed, when in fact she had spotted the poultry section of the meats department. The Huangs strategically scoured the supermarket for unique goodies vowing to return soon after their trip to Atlantic City. "This is just a preview!" Papa Huang stated. "We'll buy stuff when we get back." And a preview it was, b/c they left the market with bags full of snacks and fruits.

The Huangs turned in for the day--dreaming about large Asian pears and dried squid snacks. Atlantic City was waiting for them....

viagra Art is permitted to survive only if it renounces the right to be different, and integrates itself into the omnipotent realm of the profane.
