What IS a color commentator?

This post dedicated to the new hockey season. Cheers!

For all of y'all who knew I wasn't witty enough to come up with the name of my own blog:

A color (or colour) commentator is a member of the broadcasting team for a sporting event who assists the play-by-play announcer by filling in any time when play is not in progress. The color commentator provides analysis and background information, such as statistics, on the teams and athletes. (courtesy of wikipedia.org)

I was inspired by the one and only Dallas Stars color commentator Daryl Reaugh.

"LARCENOUS!" Saith he.

Let us color commentate!

From the burbs of LA, we have dchoi and dyu visiting the National Archives. Friends on the weekdays, "friends" on the weekends. Dchoi felt a soothing wave of patriotism as he stood in the Rotunda...only to realize moments later that the a/c had kicked in.

Outside the national archives. We looked around for someone to take a picture of us only to see 3 boys of the sk8r punk variety lounging around. "He might run off with the camera!" one Anonymous Choi exclaimed. Turns out Avril's boyfriend was super nice and dabbled in photography. I guess he had stolen enough cameras b/c he didn't take mine.

Wow check out that angle. This belongs in a wooden frame with a barcode on the lower right corner with the numbers "4x6" plastered across the top.

"The Scuffle Before the Click." Hahaha ok, there's a reason why people commonly count "1 2 3" before snapping a photo.
