White Christmas
Can I say something? I LOOOOVE Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You." It kinda makes me sick thinking I enjoy a song like that--but how can you deny lyrics like
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true ...
All I want for Christmas
Is you ..."
(Who is "you?" Tommy Mattola? Derek Jeter?)
Makes you gag and smile at the same time.
Another song I enjoy is Bing Crosby's "white christmas." It's actually one of my dad's favorite songs--YEAR-ROUND. I'm not even kidding--he sings this song in the dead heat of summer. But his version goes, "I dreaming, dreaming, dreaming, dreaming, dreaming...[continue until x == 100] of a whiiite chrees-maahs." I'm not sure why he repeats "dreaming" so much, but my guess is that he doesn't know the lyrics of the rest of song (FAR too much engrish for him to remember) and so he tries to extend the line he DOES know, thus making the song seem longer.
So when I was little I didn't know "white christmas" had any other words beyond "i'm dreaming of a white christmas." Then one day I heard the song on the radio and I was like, WAIT A SECOND! THERE'S MORE?!!
Once again deceived by my parents.

haha, i like that mariah carey song. sometimes i'd have a craving to listen to it.. sometimes it'd be stuck in my head for days.
