Pride and lots of prejudice.

Have i told you how much I love love love pride and prejudice? I watched the bbc version not too long ago and all i could do was gush about Mr. Darcy for a month. Then i watched Bridget Jones' Diary and then the recent movie version of P&P. I didn't realize what it had done to me until Jeanne mentioned I was turning into a sap because of it. I promptly ended my P&P watching spree, and replaced it with lots of basketball and "fight words." Has anyone watch Bride and Prejudice? Another offshoot of Jane Austin's classic--only with singing Indians. Haha, that Bollywood...cracks me up.

Anyway, if you've seen the bbc version of P&P you're prob convinced British people are the fugliest humans in the world. If you dont' know the story (and SHAME ON YOU if you don't), Jane is supposed to be the prettiest of all the sisters, if not one of the prettiest in the town......
Whatever, maybe beauty in those days consisted of a long nose, messed up teeth, and a distorted body. SOMEONE thought she was pretty enough to cast her as Jane, so I'm wrong somewhere. The character that plays Lizzy is ok--she got prettier and prettier the more I looked at Jane.

I think Britishwood got the hint in 2005 with their movie version. All the female characters got an upgrade. And by upgrade I don't mean from a version 2.0 to a 2.0.13654342--I mean a version 2.0 to "a lot higher than you can count."

Still, I recommend the BBC version over all the others--no one can beat Collin Firth. ...hmm, except for maybe Wentworth Miller of Prison Break. Heehee

I'm going to eat Todai today. Why am I telling you this? Because eating todai is a treat. The one in this area is always FILLED with asians. It's really scary seeing all these black-haired people feasting on raw fish--grrr! (blood gushing everywhere) We are such animals! I am currently in starvation mode to prepare me for eating my money's worth.

----

The other day I was walking to one of the office restrooms and I saw a guy walk out of the men's room and zip up his fly. I pretended I didn't notice (hard not to notice when you could hear the "ziiip" sound), but then I wrestled over how he prob didn't wash his hands..and therefore was spreading his nastiness all over the place. Let's finish our restroom duties inside the restroom ;)

I love the BBC P&P!!! I think Jane's pretty enough, but Colin Firth is hoTTTT! I watched "What a Girl Wants" purely because he was in it. :-P

i LOVE pride and prejudice! I actually haven't seen the BBC version, but I've watched the recent movie and the Bollywood one. The Bollywood version totally cracked me up- when I wasn't wincing at the image of the Indian version of Mr. Collins wearing his USA underwear.... hahaha. After watching those movies I went back and read the book like 12039418304 times. I'd like to see the BBC version, but it's so long, and the cast (minus Colin Firth) does nothing to make it more appealing.

I've seen the indian version. it's crazy cheesy. imagine a gospel choir on the beach in LA and you've got it. oh, and ashanti in Goa. it's awesome.
