I'm digging the JT album. TELL ME you don't start bop'in your head when you hear that Sexy Back song?... that song he wrote about me.

What will it take for me to become a member of the Pussycat Dolls? Revealing clothes? Sexy Moves? Long, luscious legs? Do I not have these qualities already?

Here's a shout to my softball team Team ... (<--ellipsis), pronounced "Team dot dot dot." I forgot to proclaim to the nations that we were 1st in our league last season. As a result we got bumped up to a competitive league. This initially frightened us but... actually, I think it still frightens us. No matter b/c we all got matching TSHIRTS! Yes, how grand how grand! So on the front of the shirt it says our team name "Team ..." and the back displays a number. Don't ask about the ellipsis... it's a long and somewhat lame story. Anyway the t-shirt company found it necessary to call me to confirm that it indeed was our team name, "Sooo, that's all? Just 'team dot dot dot?' is there anything else on the back?" She probably thought WE thought we were SO DANG CLEVER... and the reality is that we think we are super lame b/c we can't even come up with a decent team name.

Haha, but i will admit i snickered at our cleverness initially.... I might have attempted to replace the three dots on the shirt with three softballs instead. Wasn't my idea though.

After the shirts were ordered i realized how hard it was going to be to say the name of our team. So i say it like my voice is trailing off. Kinda like this: "I'm on Team ..."

Ok, enough of this nonsense.... I'm not sure any of my team members will read this.... But i just wanted to say that I have a lot of fun playing with y'all.... and that each of you owe me $14 for the shirt.

I haven't been updating as frequently as I used to. Why? B/c I don't have an interesting life to blog about. Maybe I should just update with photos of myself taking naps during the day or visiting the local farmers market--cause that's what I seem to enjoy doing these days. But think about it...how would I take pictures of myself napping?

Things are going well here in VA. I learned recently that I'm going to be living in this area for another three years. This is definitely a blessing in my eyes--not so much b/c I completely LOVE this area, but b/c of the opportunities that have come up at Lockheed. Yes I still work there, no i haven't yet gotten "it"--go away if you know what i'm talking about :P

So my favorite little girl Kathy came to visit this past week and had TONS OF FUN--didn't you Kathy?--TONS of fun. I was a little more flexible with our itinerary this time around. I allowed her to sleep in until 8:15 before we went out and had FUN (this fun was not forced--all natural). Honestly though, I think she was pretty exhausted at the end of the day. We went shopping, ate, and sweat a lot. It's been really hot and humid in this area lately. I LOVE IT--i love seeing the spike in our gas bill.

Have i told you how much I love love love pride and prejudice? I watched the bbc version not too long ago and all i could do was gush about Mr. Darcy for a month. Then i watched Bridget Jones' Diary and then the recent movie version of P&P. I didn't realize what it had done to me until Jeanne mentioned I was turning into a sap because of it. I promptly ended my P&P watching spree, and replaced it with lots of basketball and "fight words." Has anyone watch Bride and Prejudice? Another offshoot of Jane Austin's classic--only with singing Indians. Haha, that Bollywood...cracks me up.

Anyway, if you've seen the bbc version of P&P you're prob convinced British people are the fugliest humans in the world. If you dont' know the story (and SHAME ON YOU if you don't), Jane is supposed to be the prettiest of all the sisters, if not one of the prettiest in the town......
Whatever, maybe beauty in those days consisted of a long nose, messed up teeth, and a distorted body. SOMEONE thought she was pretty enough to cast her as Jane, so I'm wrong somewhere. The character that plays Lizzy is ok--she got prettier and prettier the more I looked at Jane.

I think Britishwood got the hint in 2005 with their movie version. All the female characters got an upgrade. And by upgrade I don't mean from a version 2.0 to a 2.0.13654342--I mean a version 2.0 to "a lot higher than you can count."

Still, I recommend the BBC version over all the others--no one can beat Collin Firth. ...hmm, except for maybe Wentworth Miller of Prison Break. Heehee

----

I'm going to eat Todai today. Why am I telling you this? Because eating todai is a treat. The one in this area is always FILLED with asians. It's really scary seeing all these black-haired people feasting on raw fish--grrr! (blood gushing everywhere) We are such animals! I am currently in starvation mode to prepare me for eating my money's worth.

----

The other day I was walking to one of the office restrooms and I saw a guy walk out of the men's room and zip up his fly. I pretended I didn't notice (hard not to notice when you could hear the "ziiip" sound), but then I wrestled over how he prob didn't wash his hands..and therefore was spreading his nastiness all over the place. Let's finish our restroom duties inside the restroom ;)

Greetings friends! It is so friggity humid here in Virginia. I cannot breathe--I feel like a wet rag when i'm out side. Please help wring me dry. I find it sadly amusing that just a few months ago I was complaining about the need for moisture in the apartment. But looky here now--i could shuffle my feet on the carpet and touch metal and the only thing i'd get would be wet socks. That sounds gross, like our carpet is damp or something, but it's not. Jeanne and I turn our A/C to an artic 78 degrees (please do not complain about it being "sticky" when you come over).

I'm leaving Saturday night for a trip to the GRAND CANYON with the Huangs. I'm looking forward to helping my mom shield herself from the sun. We are of course going to stop by Las Vegas, so this will be my first trip to Sin City. How sad that it is with two non-gamblers and a minor.

Yesterday we went to D&B to surprise Lil James Kim for his bday. He turned a whopping 17 yrs old! Actually we surprised him just outside the restaurant b/c he was not of-age... and then we all went inside to have fun as he watched from the window.

So I was dropping off Jeanne (roommate) at the Metro station one morning. We came to one of those intersections with the annoying "no turn on red" signs--the one with the red circle (they look like Kotex advertisements--which explains why they are so annoying). Being the law-abiding citizen I am, I stopped and waited for the green. Of course during this time there are NO CARS and NO PEDESTRIANS--just some tumbleweeds blowing across the street. Distracted by the radio, Jeanne prompts me to go b/c we are given a right-turn arrow. I make the turn, and GUESS who flags me down around the corner. Yes, Mr. Fairfax County Police Man (I believe we met his kin TWICE already here in VA). I am, of course, freaking out as he tells me to pull over. Irrelevant excuses fill my mind... "I just moved here a month ago--I'll register my car soon" (even though it has already been registered) ..."I didn't notice that I was speeding" (even though I made the turn going 5 mph).

[We roll down the window]
Officer: "You can't turn right at this intersection."
Jeanne: "It gave us a green arrow, dude." [haha, I added the "dude"--but can't you totally hear her saying that?]
Jennafi: "Yeah."
Officer: "So it gave you a right-turn arrow?"
Jeanne: "Yes, it turned yellow as we were turning."
Jennafi: "Yep."
Officer: [Takes foot out of mouth] "Well alright then. Have a nice day."
[We roll up the window]
Jennafi: "Yeah! You heard us, you @#$%^&!!!!"
