Thinking Back on July 4th

I spent this past July 4th in St. Louis. A group of us watched a wonderful display of fireworks while standing on a bridge between Missouri and Illinois. What a great night! Good friends, great weather, delicious food, nearly getting killed by fireworks on out way back home. You probably don't believe me about the latter--so might I refer you to the xanga entry of an extremely reliable source al_ICE. Miss ICE has graciously accepted my invitation to become an assistant color commentator. Click the thumbnails below to see her commentary on some of our July 4th photos.

On another note.... Have you ever just had the urge to SKIP? What about skipping with a group of friends? Or better yet--synchronized skipping with two other friends?! (You will need QuickTime to view. Please be patient while videos load.)

Fast Forward to the Present

I figure I should tell people what I've been up to since I've graduated. After spending a month or so at home in Texas, I packed up my Prelude for a little roadtrip--in the process, I moved to Fairfax, VA. I spent a few days in St. Louis hanging out with good friends (sniff, I miss...). With my pal Corinna, I took off for Virginia (stopping at Columbus along the way--VERY exciting city).

So here I am in my new city. I've been here about 3-4 weeks. I'm still getting adjusted to the area and my new life out here. God's blessed me with terrific roomies (whom I didn't meet until I moved in), a great city (though Dallas--go Texas--is better), and familiar friends like Julie. Still I miss my family and my friends very much. This is my second week of work at Lockheed Martin. I'm waiting for my security clearance which will take about 6-9 mo. During this time, I try and keep myself busy with random important work like updating my blog.

Blah blah blah, ok, now time for the fun stuff--pictures. Click the thumbnails.

It Has Begun

Some of you may know I've stubbornly resisted starting a Xanga. I don't like all of that attention you know? With that said, this blog is going to be all about me me me me me.

So please, feel free to leave comments and such. eprops can be sent in dollar amounts to my apartment here in Virginia. I know what you're thinking...Jennifer, how did you create those extravagant images like the one on the banner? Well my friend, that was created with a program you probably don't have called Paint. I'll change things up visually--so check back later.

Oh yes, a big THANK YOU to Aaron for helping me set things up. You are one of my 3 best friends*.

*Note to self: Keep inside jokes to a minimum.
