And the political thumb to you too!
Hi everyone. It's been a while, no? Well, allow me to get on my soapbox.
Visitors.
My parents and my sister came to visit last week. It was great to have them here. The first evening, my parents demanded a Chinese restaurant. Tally-ho! I took them to A&J's. They like. Since A&J's is right next to a chinese market, we stop by for some goods before we leave..................for the big Korean supermarket (Super H) next to my house........after which we ate some of the stuff we bought. Oh my gosh, DO NOT go to Super H on a Saturday night--mad house! My mom was in heaven right when she walked in--we barely got past the automatic sliding doors when she shouted in glee, "Oh my gosh, cases of Korean asian pears--look how big and cheap they are!!!" I think I saw my dad skip to the guavas. I knew their trip had been ruined from the start--DC was going to have to compete with Super H.
Debates.
I'm a fan of the thumb thing--I think Kerry and Edwards uses it the most. Started by Clinton, maybe? Nod if you know what I mean. Does it have a name? I'm going to call it the "political thumb" and start using it when i talk to people. Oh! Imagine if the political thumb caught on...what if people started giving the POLITICAL THUMB rather than the PEACE sign?!
I Know Hate's a Strong Word.
But i HATE the DMV. Gimme the political thumb if you agree. I've only been here a little over 3 months and i've been to the DMV five times--and i'm not done yet! If you think you've had a positive experience at the DMV, then you're WRONG. There are no such things. Ahhrhhehhg blaaahehehbleeeeh....
Crosswords.
I ALMOST finished Monday's crossword. So close! My coworker helped me finish it off--missed one. Only used dictionary.com like once* to check spelling. Not bad, huh? (:
Another Field Trip.
This time we went to the Washington Navy Yard. It's like a community within a community. I saw two museums and even got to eat at McDonald's. Woohoo, i love working at Lockheed. I have a mini-album of camera phone pics from the trip below.

Who IS this "Julia" and "Mark" that I speak of? Pic of my roomie and her honeybuns:

Break out your tissues, it's time to take a look at some pics from the past:

*or twice, or three times haha...

oh cool... i just noticed i'm on your "people i stalk" list! Must be a mistake... shouldn't i be on your "people i laugh at, who have mad bball skillz" list? Hee hee... i kid i kid. Wow, i didn't know people actually visited the navy yard? After working there, the only things i recall are that it was a bitch to get to, and the people there are snooty.

viagra Egalitarianism has been the most corrosive, illiberal and muderous of modern beliefs. The French Revolution told us all we needed to know about equality, the driving force behind its terror and anarchy.
